In a fantasy setting, why do only men need to wear armor? It kind of stretches the bounds of plausibility that somehow women are capable of withstanding attacks in their underwear, while men have to wear many layers of plate armor to get the same defensive rating. It's insulting, really. I can understand fantasy universes where people can shoot fire from their hands. That's plausible within the rules established by the fiction. It is not plausible that armor works differently based on gender. Armor is one of those things which are based almost entirely on appearance in the first place: larger armor implies higher defensive rating.

The fact that Yu-Gi-Oh still exists. The fact that people are still playing the TCG. The fact that people are still drawing fanart of it. The fact that they are still releasing new spinoffs despite having no ties to the original plot. The fact that these episodes are still being translated, despite the fact that 4kids was not only delisted but sued by their licensors for failure to pay royalties. The fact that I still can't search "Dark magician" on Google Images without turning on very strict SafeSearch.

Hot dog and bun quantities.

Nintendo's insistence on not building proper online support into their consoles. I don't think it's because of super-paranoia, although it does fuel the image of Nintendo being a company which sells to overprotective soccer moms.

On a related note, their insistence on building local-connection gimmicks into their handhelds. Did anyone actually use C-Gear for more than 5 minutes in BW?

Capcom mothballing Megaman. I don't see how a multi-spinoff series suddently went from super-profitable to a complete dud. I can understand pulling back on production (they were releasing multiple titles a year at one point). I don't understand why they would completely kill some really anticipated titles over this. MML3 was going to be *the* reason to buy a 3DS. Then they cancelled it, and Nintendo had to do emergency price cuts to compensate. Or how about how they cancelled Megaman Universe, then put references to it in the new SFxT, which felt more tasteless than anything else at that point.
